Inga Berzina and MIRAGE JAZZ ORCHESTRA concert THE DREAM
The musicians of “Mirage Jazz Orchestra” celebrating their jubilees in 2019, 2020, and 2021 – Madars Kalnins (2019-55), Indrikis Veitners (2020-50), Alvils Altmanis (2020-70_ and Vilnis Kundrats (2021-60) are among the few ones who are the representatives and are closely connected with the legendary Latvian jazz gentlemens’ generation - Raimonds Raubisko, Gunars Rozenbergs, Alni Zaķis and others. They are fantastic followers of their work both in the manner of performance, music concept and also in the interpretation of jazz, but each of them have their own individual characteristic qualities which are especially reflected in the programme by performing their compositions.
As the jazz is communication – a conversation among good friends on a topic interesting and captivating to everyone, Indrikis – an excellent storyteller, performs also as a concierge. The roots are not forgotten and as usually in MJO concerts, a composition by the first art director and conductor Gunars Rozenbergs will be performed.
The audience will get acquainted wit the musicians of “Mirage Jazz Orchestra” not only as excellent instrument performers but also as composers and conciliators.
Jazz singer Inga Berzina will perform together with the orchestra in the program “The Dream”.
The concert is supported by the State Culture Capital Foundation.
