MANHATTAN SHORT films will screen in Daugavpils
Between September 28 - October 8 the 26th International short film festival will screen in Latvian cities. In Daugavpils the films will run on September 26, 27 and 29, at 6.30 pm, in Vienības Nams’s Café (Rigas street 22a) within the 12th Music and Art festival "Daugavpils ReStArt 2023"
MANHATTAN SHORT is a unique event where the viewer is a critic. More than 100 000 film lovers world-wide will unite for one reason - to view and vote on the ten Finalists Films in the 26th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival. The results of balloting will be sent to MANHATTAN SHORT headquarters and the winners is announced in the ceremony in New York on Monday October 9th, 2023. The results will be published on www.ManhattanShort.com on the FB Latvia page https://www.facebook.com/ManhattanShortInLatvia.
This year the topic of the films is facing the bad luck regardless of whether it comes from outside or have appeared because of inner reasons. 10 films include stories that are dramatic, humoristic, sometimes magic, and always encouraging.
The films are shown in English with Latvian and Russian subtitles. Age limit 12+. Before the programme the winner film of Latvia young people competition “1201RĪGA2023”
