A year ago 22 October, 2018 passed away our prominent conductor, colleague, Honorary Citizen of Daugavpils city, chief conductor of Latvian Nationwide Song and Dance Celebration Tereze BROKA.

The concert in honor of her memory – the evening of commemoration will be held in Vienibas Nams’ Concert Hall, Rigas street 22a, 22 October, 2019, 6pm.

The participants of the concert will be the conductors and choirs tightly related to Tereze BROKA’s life and work: Preili county teacher’s choir LATGALE (conductor Edgars Znutiņš), Daugavpils county Culture center’s “Varpa” mixed choir LATGALE (conductor Anita Zarane), Daugavpils Latvian Culture Center’s mixed choir DAUGAVA (conductor Jevgenijs USTINSKOVS), Daugavpils Latvian Culture Center’s women choir RŪTA (conductor Maruta VELICKO), folk group DZĪSME (manager Lucija VAIVODE), Stanislavs Broks Daugavpils Music Secondary School’s girl ensemble DAINA (conductor Maruta VELICKO), Riga Secondary School No.6 mixed Choir SAULE (conductor Arijs SKEPASTS), orchestra DAUGAVPILS SINFONIETTA (conductor Aivars BROKS).

The content of the program – Latvian folk songs’ arrangements, music for ensembles, choirs and orchestras of Latvian and foreign composers.

The event might be photographed and filmed for the publicity and historical needs of Cultural department.
