DAUGAVPILS SINFONIETTA birthday concert ON OUR WAY TO THE EUROPEAN CAPITAL OF CULTURE
Every year 28 September the orchestra Daugavpils Sinfonietta celebrates its birthday as the orchestra of the city. This year the orchestra celebrates it already for the 14th time. The year is also important as Daugavpils continue to compete for the honor of the European Capital of Culture in 2027.
Because of the previous fact, the orchestra will perform different styles of festive and popular music -baroque, classics, romantic, and contemporary.
The following soloists will perform together with the orchestra: the bright soprano Margarita Levcuka from Belorussia, who is luckily now in Lithuania, which makes it possible for her to be present at the concert, the violinist from Riga Jurijs Savkins, Musicians from Daugavpils Ilona Broka (piano) Marta Trofimovica (saxophone).
