Autumn Love

On October 7, 3pm at Vienibas Nams Concert Hall Daugavpils big bend DAUGAVPLS BAND offers the concert Autumn Love.

The big bend DAUGAVPLS BAND has actively performed since 2016 mainly consisting of students from Stanislavs Broks Daugavpils Music Secondary School. Its debut was in Music and Art Festival Daugavpils ReStArt 2016. The art director of the big band is Romans Saikovskis.

This time soloists Olga Pirags and Diana Pirags will join the colourful sound of the band performing works of Latvian and foreign composers. Special guests: Guntis SUPE (trumpet), Lauris AMANTOVS (trombone), dance group “Sikspārnis” (Flitter Mouse) choreographer Dmitry ARESTOV.

Olga Pirags’s repertoire consists of classical jazz compositions, romances and popular songs. In the early years of her carrier Diana Pirags   wonderfully sang jazz, and through years her mastery and performance have become more exquisite. Her strong voice, temperament, the virtuosity of the performance and feeling of rhythm as well as the charm of her personality create a memorable image, which has remained unchangeable in the span of her carrier. Olga Pirags does not create the show out of a song; instead she tries to reveal the inner dramatic nature of a piece of music.

Diana Pirags is a talented, professional singer, the owner of a strong voice with a distinguishing charm of Latin-America. Diana plays the flute and the piano. She collaborates and performs with many outstanding musicians and composers from Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, USA and Latin America.
